Reminder: Change of student ID numbers for students in the UK

We would like to remind all students of the change to student ID numbers, which took place from the beginning of 2019. 

For the majority of students, a ‘1’ will have been added to the beginning of your student ID number. Please use your new student ID number on documents and forms if requested by the University. 

While the above applies to the majority of students, the change to your ID number is different if you belong to one of the groups listed below.

If you are still unsure of your new student ID number, you can find it by logging in to the MyNottingham web application (log in with your University username and password). You’ll find your student ID number by navigating to your profile icon in the top right corner of the screen.

I study on a pre-registration nursing or midwifery programme
We are sending you specific instructions regarding your student ID number and student ID card. Please check your University email or log in to MyNottingham to view your new ID number.

I usually study in China/Malaysia and started in the UK in September 2018 for part of my study programme
You have been sent specific instructions regarding your student ID number and student ID card. Please check your University email or log in to MyNottingham to view your new ID number. 

I usually study in the UK and previously went to study in China/Malaysia; I returned to study in the UK in September 2018
You have been sent specific instructions regarding your student ID number and student ID card. Please check your University email or log in to MyNottingham to view your new ID number.

I usually study in the UK and started in China or Malaysia in September 2018 for part of my study programme
You have been given a student ID card in China/Malaysia showing your new student ID number. Please bring this card back with you when you return to the UK. 

I started as a new student at the University in January 2019.
Your student ID number has not changed so please continue to use your existing ID number.
