Want to become a student leader? Nominations are now open for the Students' Union officer elections.
Each year the Students’ Union is led by a team of student officers who represent the views of fellow students and look to make a positive impact on their experiences at the University.
Full-time officer positions are paid roles that are elected by all students. That means any student can run for a position and vote for candidates.
The positions available are:

- Community Officer
- Sports Officer
- Equality Opportunities & Welfare Officer
- Activities Officer
- Postgraduate Officer
- LGBT+ Officer (PT)
- BME Officer (PT)
- International Students Officer (PT)
- Mature Students Officer (PT)
- Women*’s Officer (PT)
- Disabled Students’ Officer (PT)
- Environment and Social Justice Officer (PT)
By being an officer you’ll have the opportunity to turn your ideas of what contributes to creating the best student experience at Nottingham into actions, and make a real positive impact on your student community.
Being an SU officer is a unique opportunity to lead a huge charity. You will develop skills like negotiation, problem solving and decision making, and working with stakeholders. You can also shape the experience of 34,000 students at the University of Nottingham.
