Description

Join us for the launch of the first session of the EDI reading group. The EDI reading group is a forum to engage with EDI literature and seeks to facilitate an open and safe space for courageous EDI conversations.

For this first session we will be joined by a guest speaker, Panya Banjoko

Panya Banjoko is a multi award-winning poet, Archivist, Patron for Nottingham UNESCO City of Literature and the founder of the Black Writers Network based in Nottingham. Panya will discuss poems featured in her new collection of poems coming out on 22 June. Participants will have an opportunity to read Panya’s poems ahead of time to discuss their thoughts and to talk about any other poems.

Open to all staff and students.

Following the launch event, the group will continue to meet quarterly to discuss their thoughts on a selected text.
