Professor David Greatbatch

Professor David Greatbatch specialises in research and evaluation in the fields of education and training, work-related skills and learning, and communication.  He is a Special Professor in the School of Education at the University of Nottingham, where he is a member of the Centre for Developing and Evaluating Lifelong Learning (CDELL), and a Visiting Professor in Durham Business School at the University of Durham.

He recently led the external evaluations of the Welsh Baccalaureate Qualification Pilot Study (commissioned by the National Assembly for Wales), the Key Skills Support Programme (commissioned by DfES), the Personality Disorder Training Initiative (commissioned by the Department of Health), a study of the provision of employability skills (including Key Skills) programmes for young people aged 14-25 in the South West of England (commissioned by the South West Regional Skills Partnership) and an evaluation of Skill Force Development activities in Key Stage 4.
