"The New Space Economy".
The UK Space Conference 2011 will help grow the UK’s economic, environmental, social and science interests from space through encouraging interaction between key players in government, industry and the research community.
What's being talked about?
The UK Space Conference will be a platform for policy announcements, industry priorities and perspectives, and key innovations and research outcomes. As it comes hot on the heels of the establishment of the UK Space Agency in April 2011, the conference will also help foster dialogue with the community on UK Space Agency priorities and the Agency’s role in the UK space sector. The aim of the conference is to enable dialogue and exchange information between Government, industry, and the research community, and highlight the connections between the space sector and other sectors in the UK economy. With attendees from across the country and around the world, the UK Space Conference 2011 will:
- be a forum to discuss key issues between government, industry and academia
- foster cohesion and strength in the UK space sector by stimulating cross-community ideas sharing and act as a networking hub to increase collaborative working
- provide an opportunity for students to learn about space careers prospects and for industry to recruit motivated and skilled people
- be a showcase for the UK space sector to the country as a whole.
- increase knowledge at all levels on national space policy and the UK space programme
- help demonstrate the UK’s global leadership in the space sector and provide opportunities for international collaboration and investment.
Most importantly, by bringing together so many varied aspects of the UK space community for the first time, the UK Space Conference will help lay out the future of the sector. Don’t miss the opportunity to be a part of it!
