Description

The IGNSS 2011 symposium and industry exhibition will take place at the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia from November 15 to 17 during the last days of the region's spring season. UNSW is within walking distance of some of Sydney's favorite beaches.

This year's event incorporates the international GPS/GNSS symposium.

For the first time, the exhibition will include GNSS demonstrations and an "Interactive Field Day," a chance for delegates to work with each other and try out navigation equipment.

The sponsors welcome abstracts for papers on a wide range of issues, including GNSS systems infrastructure and policy, signals and receivers, applications and non-satellite positioning technologies.

The deadline for online abstract submission is June 6, 2011

The event features open forums where users can talk about their experience with and concerns about GNSS and other technologies with representatives of all of the system providers, major manufacturers and applications developers.

It is sponsored by the International Global Navigation Systems Society and co-hosted by the School of Surveying and Spatial Information Systems (SSIS) at UNSW.
