Launch Event of the European Mobile and Mobility Industries Alliance
8 March 2012, 9:30 – 16:00, Bavarian Representation to the EU, Rue Wiertz, 77, Brussels
Invitation to “mobilise Europe”. Please download the leaflet.
We use them everywhere and at any time, they are our daily companion: smartphones and tablets are small and mobile; modern life and our mobility more and more begin to rely on them. Services based on them change business models, the way we work, the way we innovate, we communicate and we live together. Maybe they help to solve the future societal challenges we are facing, sustainable transport, sustainability of energy or our aging society.
Although the mobile communication standards are mostly European, the businesses based on smartphones and tablets are not “made in Europe”, it is currently dominated by networks, hardware and software companies elsewhere.
Europe cannot afford to just go with the trend of “more mobile and mobility”, we are to lead it. Leadership builds on strengths, expertise, co-ordination and the joint ambition for a change. Europe is strong in traditions, in history, in social and cultural heritage of its regions and cities as well as in technology-based clusters. It is the right mix of private activities, business, social life and public institutions, which makes us unique.
Together with you, we will “mobilise Europe”. Challenge us and see how you as an ambitious and engaged region or city or part of a competitive mobile and mobility-related cluster can get involved and make a difference.
Join us to make sure our future in Europe is mobile.
