Description

Precise Time and Time Interval Systems and Applications Meeting

PTTI 2012
focuses on Time dissemination, GNSS timing performance, user applications, precision time and frequency transfer techniques, and future timing equipment.

PTTI 2012 will sponsor a student paper competition. With a sufficient number of entries, there will be two separate categories for the competition: Undergraduate and Graduate. Students are encouraged to submit abstracts in any area dealing with "precise" timekeeping systems or applications. Given the breadth of topics that might be addressed (i.e. biological to geophysical to astronomical), students may submit abstracts for papers dealing with literature reviews, laboratory work, or computational investigations.

Students have the option to do an oral presentation or poster paper, and must write a formal paper for the conference proceedings. Please indicate if the paper will be oral or poster at the time of submission. Winners will be decided based on creativity, originality, and presentation.

PTTI Objectives

  • Disseminate and coordinate PTTI information at the user level;
  • Review present and future PTTI requirements;
  • Inform Government and Industry engineers, technicians, and managers of precise time and frequency technology and its problems;
  • Provide an opportunity for an active exchange of new technology associated with PTTI.
