'A response to User Needs in the Face of the Solar Maximum'

This is an open event organised as part of TRANSMIT - Training Research and Applications Network to Support the Mitigation of Ionospheric Threats (www.transmit-ionosphere.net)

Preliminary Programme

13 Feb morning

Guest speaker (TBD)

Session 1: Ionospheric Radio Science
This session will include contributions on any topic of radio science relating to GNSS and the ionosphere.

Session 2: Ionospheric Experimental Observations
This session will include contributions from researchers working in taking experimental observations of the ionosphere and in the combination of those measurements into maps. Instruments will include, ISR, GNSS ground and RO.

13 Feb afternoon

Guest speaker (TBD)

Session 3: Real-time Models and Data Assimilation
This session will include contributions on the theoretical and practical development of ionospheric models and on data assimilation.

Session 4: Scientific and Industrial Applications Reliant on GNSS
This session will include contributions relating to industrial applications of GNSS Space Weather research.

Abstracts should be emailed to cathryn.mitchell@rocketmail.com with TRANSMIT in the title. No later than 15 December 2012
