Southern Institute of Health Informatics 2013 Conference
The theme of this year's SIHI conference will be the question, "From 'Big Data' to Collective Wisdom?"
A range of topics will be addressed with a focus on how information can change policies or practices within health and social care. This will include examining why there are unsafe practices in the NHS, whether data can reliably guide patient management and whether the aspiration to have a paperless NHS is actually achievable.
Various speakers have been invited to submit presentations and there will also be an 'Infomart', an informal information market place area where vendors and researchers set up stalls from which they can meet people and exchange information.
This conference promises to be informative with a valuable networking opportunity for not only NHS personnel, but also anybody working within communication, information transfer or data management with an interest in the NHS.
Registration is available here, with the choice to also book stalls in the Infomart.
