State of the Map 2013
OpenStreetMap is a free to edit world map where users can trace, track and create new routes through the use of satellite navigation, GPS devices or satellite imagery. The open source software is supported by the non-profit OpenStreetMap Foundation, and aims to encourage the distribution of free geospatial data for everybody to use and share.
State of the Map is an annual event that attempts to bring together all those who contribute to and use OpenStreetMap. The conference is made of workshops and presentations examining current practice, organisation and preparation for future developments and subsequent changes to OpenStreetMap.
Therefore the theme of this year's conference is "Change", a very apt focus for the constantly evolving geospatial application.
