2 Boldly Grow! Space Solutions for Precision Farming

 

The East Midlands Satellite Applications Centre of Excellence (EMBRACE) invites you to a free one-day workshop to explore how geospatial technologies are transforming the farming industry.  Delegates will be able to:

  • learn what is being done to increase yields at less cost to the environment
  • share their experience through open question sessions
  • develop new contacts through networking
  • promote their organisation in the free exhibition area

The workshop will be of value to anyone involved in the food and farming industry or who is concerned about rural matters, such as:

  • land owners
  • policy makers
  • representative bodies
  • researchers
  • crop development companies
  • food and drink companies
  • environmental organisations
  • equipment manufacturers.

**We are pleased to announce keynote from Martin Parr  (GODAN Programme Manager & CABI Head of Open Data) on ‘Presenting GODAN – Global Open Data for Agriculture and Nutrition’? GODAN is about to launch an Open Data Challenge across its network and there will also be opportunity to discuss ideas with GODAN colleagues.
