Description

UAV Demonstration and Showcase

This free event is being held by GRACE and Ocuair.Com to mark the creation of a test-bed for Unmanned Aerial Vehicle technology on The University of Nottingham's Jubilee Campus.

Unmanned and Autonomous technologies will be a BIG part of our future. They will provide low-cost solutions to a wide range of activities eg:

  • environmental and infrastructure monitoring,
  • agriculture and land use,
  • building maintenance,
  • transport,
  • planning,
  • health,
  • public safety,
  • supporting research for improved sensors and monitoring techniques.

Up until now this has required:

  • expensive infrastructure,
  • helicopter, manned planes of satellite imagery,
  • physical inspection in hazardous environments,

...which means that reliable information is difficult to collect.

Meet the experts to find out how you could benefit on a day that will include:

  • Flight demonstration by Ocuair.com
  • The history of UAVs and the technology involved
  • Legal and safety considerations of operating UAVs
  • Case Studies
  • Consultations with experts and an opportunity to share your experience

Ocuair also hope to share some important news on the day!

Registration for the Demonstration and Showcase is now closed.

You are welcome to visit the Open Exhibition of aircraft for commercial use in the foyer of the Nottingham Geospatial Building between 12:00 and 13:00 on the day and talk to the experts.
