New Navigator Seminar 2012

Whether you are a PhD, MSc, final year student, academic or post-doctoral researcher - if you are interested in positioning technology or looking at the possibility of a career within the positioning and navigation industry this one day seminar is not to be missed.

The Royal Institute of Navigation’s Annual One Day Seminar is a special event for MSc and PhD students to explain their positioning and navigation research to a wide audience, and to gain an awareness of other developments in the domain. 

  • Gain experience speaking at a conference, in an informal and friendly environment.
  • Meet key industry and government representatives.
  • Discuss career development opportunities.

Abstracts should be approx. 300 words. Please include the paper title and name(s), postal and e-mail addresses of the author(s). All abstracts must be submitted by 04 May 2012.

Upon selection, all authors will be notified by 18 May 2012. Successful applicants will be invited to prepare a power point presentation to be given on the day (full papers will not be required). The presentations will be limited to one per Speaker.

All presenters will be given a year’s free student membership of the RIN. In addition, two special prizes (cash and certificate) will be awarded to the winning and runner-up presentations. 

Attendance will be free to speakers, £10 for students, £30 for RIN Members and £40.00 for others. All prices include VAT. The fee includes a copy of the CD containing presentations from this and previous RIN R&D Meetings, lunch and refreshments.
