Entry for the European Satellite Navigation Competition has now closed.

During GRACE’s first year of managing the UK ESNC in 2010, the UK recorded an impressive 1/5 of the total applications within a landscape of a growing number of regions participating.

The East Midlands has played a role in the competition since 2007, but played a diminished role in 2008, when there was also uncertainty about GALILEO, so a big thank you to everybody who registered for the competition and showed interest for the 2010 competition, helping us to double last years total entrants.

The UK panel of experts is currently evaluating your ideas and will select 5 finalists. These finalists will be invited to present their solutions to the judges in Nottingham on 9 September. We strongly encourage you to save that date to make sure you can make this presentation. You will be notified on 3 September if you are selected for this presentation.

All other participants will be notified about the status of their idea by the end of September.

The international judges meeting takes place on the 20th and 21st September 2010, then the International Awards Cermony takes place on the 18th October 2010 in Munich, where the ESNC winners will be given a platform during a 2-day event around the Awards Ceremony (18/19 October) in Munich which will also provide great international networking opportunities.

Special thanks goes to all our sponsors and everybody involved!
