All
of the learning goals you need to complete can be seen in the course
curriculum map. You can use this in a number of ways
Each
of the learning topics and activities you undertake on your course are
defined by learning goals. These state what will be covered in the
topic/activity and also how you should be able to use the knowledge you
have gained after completing it. This helps you manage your
learning and also lets you know what you need to cover (if you miss a
session for example.
Each
learning goal is linked to a series of resources to help you achieve
that goal. Some of these are materials you will be directed to on
the course and others form addition or optional resources that you might
wish to access.
The map shows you how the materials you are covering relate to the
learning goals for the module. This is important as the
assessments you will undertake, assess your achievement of the module
learning goals.
Ultimately, the learning goals you complete help you fulfil the NMC
requirements for your registration. The maps to show you how the
materials you are covering at topic level build together to help you
achieve this
The map helps you to make links between theory and practice
components of the course, showing how each contributes to modular and
NMC requirements
Finally, the map shows how different subjects with the course are linked together and/or build upon one another.
