Discovering and understanding under-served communities

Introduction

Community pharmacy can play a crucial role to improve the care we deliver to people who are medically under-served.

This resource will help you to:
  • improve your awareness and understanding of individuals who are under-served and the health challenges they face
  • reflect on how you can tailor your pharmacy's services to help these people.

This e-learning should take about 15 minutes to complete.

We will focus on the English community pharmacy Medicines Use Review service. This is a free service that benefits patients by improving their knowledge of medicines and their use. It is likely that medicines management services will become increasingly important in facilitating personalised and integrated care for patients managing long-term conditions.

Although our focus is on Medicines Use Reviews, much of the e-learning is applicable to other pharmacy services and may be helpful to other health professionals too.
