The Vernier Networks System solves the wireless network challenge by providing fine-grained access control, Airwave SecurityT using IPsec, L2TP, and PPTP, and transparent Layer 3 roaming capabilities for wireless IP networks. This solution can individually authenticate, encrypt wireless traffic between the clients device and the network, and redirect and log any and all network traffic generated by each user's wireless device-PC, handheld, phone, or pager. When roaming across the network, each user's open session is transparently forwarded from access point to access point, continuing those sessions without interruption or re-authentication, just like the familiar cell phone.
