8. Main causes of fire
The biggest single cause of any fire incident is human behaviour; the danger in your workplace or home comes primarily from either the action or negligence of you and those around you. A fire will only start if 3 key elements are brought together.

Fire safety advice:
Toasters are the most common cause of false fire alarms in the workplace, these often have a build-up of debris that ignites during normal operation. Therefore it is extremely important that cooking appliances (toasters, microwaves, hotplates etc.) are not left unattended when in operation and should be cleaned regularly.
