Chemical molecules are the building blocks of modern life: They are in our smartphone touch screens, they make our umbrellas waterproof and they cure us when we are ill. But how are molecules made? And what are the modern challenges and innovations in this old, but ever-evolving field? Dr Miriam O'Duill is an assistant professor of chemistry at the University of Nottingham who has been making molecules for many years and will explore these questions with you in this public lecture.
