IGA Poster Competition 2015

 

The Annual Infrastructure, Geomatics and Architecture poster was held Wednesday 21st of January, in C25 Coates Building.

Architecture, Climate and Environment are pleased to announce the following poster/presentation PhD winners from the ACE group:

Poster Winner (1 of 7)
Renata Tubelo
“The Application of the ‘Fabric First’ Approach to Increase Thermal Comfort and Energy Efficiency in Brazilian Housing”
Joint Second Prize: £75, and certificate

Renata's poster will represent the IGA Division at the Faculty Poster Competition in May 2015.

In addition to the poster competition, students were also asked to present a one minute presentation and the awarded prizes for ACE went to:

Jingjing Liu        
“How can BLACK turn GREEN? Performance Enhanced Activated Spherical Carbon Adsorbents for CO2 Capture”
Second Prize: £75 and Certificate

Lorna Kiamba    
“Optimising design strategies to improve thermal performance in non-domestic buildings in Kenya”
Third Prize: £50 and Certificate

Adham Makki    
“Heat Pipe-Based Photovoltaic-Thermoelectric Generator (HP-PV/TEG) Hybrid System”
Fourth Prize: £50 and Certificate
