MArch in Environmental Design Alumnus wins Asia's Green Design Competition 2014

Our recently graduated My Dao Le Hong (MArch in Environmental Design) has won the first place in the professional category in the FuturArc Prize 2014, Asia’s leading Green Design Competition. This is a very prestigious prize usually won by long-established Architectural Practices.

The challenge was to imagine the future of ‘Water and the City’, to design for survival and well-being. The goal of the competition brief was sufficiency and the well-being of settlements and the ecological systems that we depend on. My’s design addressed this through a 3 scale proposal: Buildings, Precincts and City, integrated with local biodiversity, urban farming and community landscaping. Winning entries will be posted on the website www.futurarcprize.com from mid-May onwards. Well done My!
