Professor Brian Ford has received a Commendation for the RIBA President's Award for Outstanding University-located Research 2011

An Environmental Design in Architecture group member has won a RIBA President's Awards for Research 2011. Professor Brian Ford has received a Commendation for the RIBA President's Award for Outstanding University-located Research for his work on Passive and Hybrid Downdraft Cooling (PHDC).
