Jorge Luis Aguilar Santana - Awarded the Vice-Chancellor Medal

Jorge Luis Aguilar Santana member of the Buildings Energy and Environment Research Group has been awarded with the Vice Chancellor’s Medal 2021. He holds a PhD in Sustainable Energy Technology and has published several journal articles as part of his project "novel thin-film photovoltaic vacuum glazing".   

His research project has been granted the Sustainability Award from The University of Nottingham and has been bestowed for his outstanding contribution to advancing low carbon technologies in the United Nations’ Youth Sustainable Energy Hub. In addition, he has been highly commended for this teaching role at the Tri-Campus Postgraduate awards.    

The Vice-Chancellor’s medal is granted upon an outstanding contribution which has enhanced the reputation of the University of Nottingham and his continuous work towards sustainability projects was pivotal for this recognition.
