Link between fast food and eczema severity draws wide media interest

 

Research by Professor Hywel Williams of the Centre of Evidence Based Dermatology at The University of Nottingham, UK, with colleagues from New Zeland, Australia, Germany and Spain has been widely reported by the local and international media including Bloomberg News, the BBCGuardian and El Mundo.

The study, 'Do fast foods cause asthma, rhinoconjunctivitis and eczema? Global findings from the International Study of Asthma and Allergies in Childhood (ISAAC) Phase Three' was first published by the leading journal Thorax, reporting a link between between a fast food diet and the severity of allergic asthma, eczema and rhinitis among children.
