Professor Hywel Williams
Hywel Williams, Professor of Dermato-Epidemiology at the University of Nottingham Centre of Evidence-Based Dermatology, has been nominated to join the American Association of Dermatology (ADA) -- the oldest and most prestigious association of senior American dermatology clinicians and researchers.

Hywel was one of four international members nominated to the ADA at their annual meeting in Colonial Williamsberg in October 8-12, 2014. Hywel addressed the Association with an overview of his research career which emphasised the importance of population science alongside basic science, and for the need to reduce bias and promote evidence-based dermatology. He also highlighted the need for great patient and public involvement in dermatological research and to use simple language to communicate research findings.
