SWET softened water trial used as case study in HTA impact report

The SWET trial of water softeners for eczema has been used as a case study in a major report assessing the impact of the NIHR Health Technology Assessment (HTA) Programme.

The report by RAND Europe looked at the impact of HTA funded research from 2003 to 2013 on patient health, clinical practice, health policy, the economy and academia.

The SWET trial was included as one of 12 case studies of high-impact research projects, "selected to illustrate the variety and range of impacts arising from HTA projects".
