Last night our clinical trial evaluating treatments for vitiligo (the HI-light study) was featured on BBC Inside Out East Midlands.
The report explored what it's like living with vitiligo in the East Midlands, with a personal view from Anika Vassell and Maxine Whitton (MBE). Maxine is a member of the CEBD patient panel, and has spent many years trying to improve research for the condition. She is currently taking part in the HI-light vitiligo study.
Dr Jonathan Batchelor, lead for the study, explained more about the treatments being investigated, as well as the psychological aspects of the disease. Fellow clinician, psychologist Dr Andrew Thompson discussed the support available for people with the condition.
The BBC have kindly allowed us to upload a copy of the video to our website, which can be viewed on our videos webpage.
