Description

In Nottingham on Thursday 6th December 2018 we are hosting a hepato-epidemiology workshop, funded jointly by an award from the Research Priority Area (RPA) Partnership Fund and the NIHR BRC GI and Liver theme.  This workshop will be led by Professor Joe West (from the Division of Epidemiology and Public Health) and Dr Peter Jepsen (from the Department of Clinical Epidemiology, Aarhus, Denmark).  The purpose of the workshop is to discuss our ongoing successful collaboration, work that is progressing and our ambitions for the future.

As part of the workshop, Peter will give a 45-minute lecture about some of the joint work we have done, the health informatics data that we use and opportunities our collaboration may bring. This will take place from 11.30am at the Postgraduate Education Centre, QMC Campus.

There will be a buffet lunch afterwards.

We hope that this talk may be of interest to members of the Chronic Inflammatory Diseases and Cancer RPAs, the BRC bioinformatics community and those interested in using large population based datasets in England and Denmark for studying epidemiology.

As spaces are limited, please respond to bethany.robinson@nottingham.ac.uk if you wish to attend the talk, and any dietary requirements you may have.

Spaces will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
