Current Research

My PhD research is seeking to explore and understand the constraints to rail travel that might be experienced by late adopters of technology as leisure travellers in Great Britain. Late adopters have been largely omitted from academic and industry research meaning there is little understanding of what makes someone a late adopter and how they are impacted by this as leisure travellers. The findings of this research will contribute to the industry objectives of making rail travel more appealing and accessible for all passengers whilst also adding to academic understandings of constraints to travel and late adopters as a specific (non)user group.
