The aims of the IMOSHION project are to:

  • stimulate awareness of OSH issues in European SMEs
  • support adherence to OSH through training, operation, planning and design of workplaces
  • provide low-cost and easy to use specific tools.

The IMOSHION technology to be developed during the project is a set of tools which utilise modern simulation and virtual reality techniques. The tools will be:

  • an OSH knowledge and learning management system
  • a workplace simulation for experimenting and training on OSH issues
  • an immersive training and learning tool for OSH procedures, and
  • a planning tool for OSH prevention at workstation and workplace levels.

The project is implemented by 10 partners from 6 European countries that have a common interest in improving working conditions in small and medium sized enterprises in the manufacturing sector. The project focuses on two aspects:

  1. On the one hand it collects existing knowledge and creates new information concerning OSH issues.
  2. On the other hand it wants to develop tools and techniques to raise awareness and improve OSH in SMEs.
