On 4 November, the Law and Tech Research Centre (LTRC) hosted its first expert panel on age assurance and the Online Safety Act 2023. The discussion covered non-compliance, circumvention of age checks, unintended consequences for user rights, and international regulatory approaches.
The event featured leading experts from academia and industry, including Dr Mando Rachovitsa, Ellie Colegate, Dr Claire Bessant, Andy Lulham (Verifymy), and Julie Dawson (Yoti).
