Professor Susan Dovey of the Dunedin School of Medicine at the University of Otago, is visiting the Division of Primary Care in September 2013, to talk about her patient safety research.  The title of her talk is "Primary care incident reporting systems are ##@%!"

Professor Dovey is Director of Research and Convenor of Higher Degrees in the Department of General Practice and Rural Health and has more than 25 years of experience in general practice research, including a substantial amount of research involving electronic data generated by general practices. She has a particular interest in patient safety research, and has recently been appointed to the World Health Organisation's Patient Safety Alliance research working group.  Her particular research interests are in primary care safety and quality, general practice academic development, and rural health.
