Nottingham part of successful bid for an NIHR Patient Safety Translational Research Centre

Professor Tony Avery, Dr Sarah Rodgers, Professor Justin Waring and colleagues have been successful as part of a £6.7 million bid for a NIHR Patient Safety Translational Research Centre that will be based in Manchester.

They will be taking forward research on medication safety in primary care, and patient safety at the transitions between different healthcare settings. It is anticipated that the Nottingham funding will cover the costs of two postdoctoral research fellows for five years and there will also be opportunities for PhD studentships.
