The Care Quality Commission has found the quality of care provided by the surgery where Professor Tony Avery, Dean of the School of Medicine and Professor of Primary Health Care, carries out his clinical practice to be Outstanding following an inspection in October.
All NHS institutions are assessed periodically by the Care Quality Commission. To receive an ‘outstanding’ rating is a real achievement.
Inspectors found The Valley Surgery in Chilwell, Nottingham, providing a safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led service that meets the needs of the population it serves.
