Speaker: Dr Lianne Wood, Clinical Doctoral Research Fellow, Keele University
Summary: Exercise is the most effective treatment for persistent low back pain (LBP), but in RCTs only small to moderate effects are seen. The primary outcome used in RCTs is key to the results. This PhD investigated whether improved matching of the primary outcome to the treatment goals of exercises in RCTs of LBP changes the conclusion of these RCTs.
Lianne is a Senior Physiotherapist in QMC Outpatients Department and has a Clinical Research Fellowship to undertake her PhD through Keele University.
Everyone welcome.
