PhD researchers contribute to Asia-Oceania Congress of Medical Physics in Kuala Lumpur

 

Radiological Sciences PhD students made a major contribution to the recent Asia-Oceania Congress of Medical Physics held in Kualar Lumpur earlier this month.  

Three previous PhD students in medical physics supervised by Professor Alan Perkins were involved in the congress which was entitled “A Sustainable future for Medical Physics”. The meeting attracted over 500 participants from Australia, South East Asia and Japan.  Professor Perkins who was sponsored to attend by the Institute of Physics and Engineering in the UK gave three invited lectures and Soh Hwee Shin was awarded best prize for her poster on ‘Quantitative metrics for assessing IMRT radiotherapy plan quality”.
