Biography

Katharine Bowker is a clinical trial manager at Nottingham Clinical Trials Unit. She is currently managing the BLUSH trial, a randomised controlled trial to determine whether oxybutynin or venlafaxine is effective for treating hot flushes in women who cannot or choose not to use hormone replacement therapy. She began her career in trial management after completing her PhD in 2015. She has over 12 years experience working in research, including design and delivery randomised control trials, longitudinal cohort studies, pilot studies and qualitative research methods. Prior to her PhD, she worked as a midwife and completed a Master of Public Health.
