Research 

Established in 1999, the Rolls-Royce University Technology Centre (UTC) in Manufacturing and On-Wing Technology at the University of Nottingham is a multi-disciplinary research team, which explores key aspects of aerospace manufacture. Our group has a particular interest in the areas of manufacturing technology, fixturing and on-wing inspection, as well as robotic systems for in-situ repair.

 The partnership also facilitates the growth of engineers in the academic community as they are confronted with “real world” challenges and can therefore better understand industry priorities.
