The School of Geography is a stimulating place in which to learn and research and has a friendly atmosphere. It is based in the centre of the attractive University Park campus close to the libraries, student union facilities and halls of residence. It has a strong commitment to active learning with participation by students in tutorials, class discussions, group activities, interactive e-learning and field courses.

The School has an innovative, research-led approach to teaching. Members of academic staff are leading international researchers in their specialist fields that cover the breadth of human and physical geography.
