The School has grown steadily over recent years and its popularity is reflected in very strong application rates (about 11 applications per available place). We currently have around 500 undergraduates. Our teaching was graded “Excellent” in the latest Higher Education Funding Council for England national audit of teaching provision. Geography at Nottingham was ranked in the top three Geography Departments in the UK by The Guardian newspaper and in the top six departments by The Times (2006).
