Alex is a registered adult and children's nurse. Her clinical practice background has been in a variety of children's settings in Sheffield, Leeds, Leicester and finally specializing in paediatric oncology in Nottingham.
Alex has worked at the University since 2002 as a lecturer in children's nursing. Previously she has worked in this capacity at De Montfort University, held an Honorary Research Fellow post at Melbourne University, Australia and carried out research and taught at the Florida Atlantic University, USA.
