Biography
Dr Maria T. Clark is an Associate Professor (Graduate Entry Nursing) (2022) in the School of Health Sciences. She qualified as a general nurse in 1991, later as a midwife and specialist community public health nurse (health visiting). Working mainly in women's health and community-based healthcare she moved into higher education in 2003, completing her PhD in health service research/sociology (CAM) at the University of Bristol (2008). Since then, she has led multidisciplinary courses contributing to teaching and research within pre-registration and post-registration nursing, public health, advanced clinical practice, safeguarding, sustainability and wellbeing education. She is a SEDA recognised doctoral supervisor and welcomes applications in congruent areas of practice.
