General

What is included in the registration fee?
The registration fee includes access to all conference sessions, coffee breaks and the Welcome Cocktail. Please note that lunches are not provided; however, there are numerous restaurants within a short walking distance of the conference venue. The Conference Dinner will be available for an additional fee.
Is it possible to bring a guest or companion to conference activities?
Guests or companions are welcome to participate in the conference’s social activities. However, please note that access to the coffee breaks and the Welcome Cocktail requires an additional fee, payable in cash (BRL) to the conference secretariat upon arrival.
Fees: Coffee Breaks – 400 BRL | Welcome Cocktail – 200 BRL

Companions may also use the conference-provided transportation to and from the airport free of charge, subject to availability and space limitations.
Do I need a VISA to attend the conference?
To visit Brazil, you may need a visa depending on your nationality and the duration of your stay. Should you require a Letter of Invitation to assist in your visa application, we will be happy to provide one – please contact us on GalaxyMemoirs2025@nottingham.ac.uk.

Will the talks be streamed online for remote participation?
No, we are unable to offer remote participation for this conference.

 

Posters

What are the format requirements for the conference posters?
Conference posters should be A0 size (841 x 1189 mm), in portrait orientation. There should be a top rope (not provided) to enable hanging from the poster stands (see images below). Please ensure high resolution for printing.

Can I still present a poster even if I cannot attend?
Yes, we have plenty of room for posters. Please contact the organisers to inform them you will be sending a poster to the conference and who will be bringing it. Please note that we are unable to print posters ahead of the conference, so you have to make arrangements to send them with someone else who is attending
