Each spring the Centre for Evidence Based Dermatology holds an Annual Evidence Based Update Meeting.
The meeting summarises the most recent evidence in the form of systematic reviews and recently completed trials for the treatment and management of the chosen skin disease topic.
This year, the topic area of 'organisation of dermatological care' is a one-off departure from our normal EBU model, but it is a really important area, and very timely given the recent emphasis from NHSE on redesigning outpatient services.
The digital transformation and revised care pathway aiming to “Ensure patients are seen in the right place, at the right time” and the recent NHSE report, along with the publication of a suite of guidance documents (developed by key stakeholders including the BAD to support this approach by NHSE) will be discussed.
What is the evidence behind these changes and will they solve the problems that need to be solved?
There will be the usual opportunity for discussion during the question & answer session with a panel of experts.
This meeting is postponed. New date coming soon.
