We’re looking for students to vlog for the University. If you’re comfortable in front of camera and have something to say about life at UoN, we need you.
We want current students to produce videos featuring tips and advice for new students starting at the University in September. Your videos will form part of the annual #UoNFreshers campaign and be published on the official University YouTube channel, website and social media accounts.
Who can apply?
It doesn’t matter if you’ve never vlogged before or you’ve got thousands of YouTube subscribers. This opportunity is open to all students: home and international, both undergraduate and postgraduate, from all courses and based at any of our UK campuses.
What’s in it for you?
Being involved in a major University of Nottingham digital campaign will add value and variety to your CV. If we use your video we’ll also give you a £50 Amazon voucher.
If we really like what we see, there could be an opportunity to produce more vlogs on other subjects for the #UoNFreshers campaign or on a more regular basis for the Student Life blog in the next academic year (we’ll pay you for those too).
The brief and how to apply
The brief is simple. Create a video (no more than 2 minutes long) that covers one of the following subjects:
- A tour of your university room/hall
- What to pack for uni
- Top tips for freshers
- The best things about Nottingham
The rest is up to you.
To apply, simply upload your video to YouTube or a file sharing service (such as DropBox) and send a link to firstname.lastname@example.org and include your name, course and year of study, University email address and student ID number.
The application deadline is 5pm Monday 1 June 2015.
