The University of Nottingham will be hosting one of the biggest events in the British Universities & Colleges Sport (BUCS) calendar. BUCS Big Wednesday will take place on Wednesday 21 March and we need you to help make it happen!
BUCS Big Wednesday will see over 60 of the UK’s top university teams — and over 1,600 athletes — descend on campus for a huge day of Championship and Trophy finals. UoN Sport is now recruiting over 100 volunteers to help them deliver the event.
No prior sporting experience is required and the roles offer a fantastic opportunity to experience a huge national event first-hand.
There are two positions available – click on the links below to read the role description and register your interest. The deadline for applications is Friday 8 December.
• Team Liaison Officer
• Events Assistant
Students who volunteer at BUCS Big Wednesday will also receive:
• Full training from BUCS and UoN Sport
• Free BUCS stash to keep after the event
• A free meal provided during your volunteering shift
• An invitation to a team social
• The additional opportunity to volunteer at the BUCS Nationals in Sheffield from Friday 16 – Sunday 18 February
UoN Sport will be hosting an Information Evening on Monday 13 November from 5.30-6.30pm in the Humanities Building, room A01 on University Park where you can find out more about the opportunity.
