Students returning to continue their studies into the 2018/19 academic year will be able to view their timetables from Monday 17 September.
Timetables will be available to view in myCal, myTimetable and the MyNottinham app. Students based in the School of Veterinary Medicine and Science will be able to access their timetables in Moodle from Friday 21 September.
Module enrolment
If your programme has allowed you to choose optional modules then you can check your module choices for the 2018/19 academic year in Blue Castle. If you wish to change your optional modules, then you can do this between 12 noon on Monday 17 September and 12 noon on Friday 21 September by completing the online module enrolment form.
Once your module choices are submitted, they will be checked to ensure they meet your course requirements and we will contact you if they do not. Please note that it can take up to five working days for module changes to show on your timetable – in the meantime you can use the master timetable to view the times and locations of fixed teaching sessions. The master timetable will be updated to display 2018/19 information from Monday 17 September.
For more information about timetables, view the module enrolment FAQs.
Further changes to module choices
There will be a second period for module choice changes between 12 noon on Monday 1 October and 12 noon on Friday 5 October. However, we strongly encourage you to make your module choices by 12 noon on Friday 21 September (as indicated above) so that your first weeks of teaching are not impacted. Please note that we need to focus on first year modules in the first instance, so there may be some delay in responding to your request.
Module codes
The University is currently in the process of moving to a new set of module codes. On the module enrolment form and your timetable you will see both the current six-digit module codes and the new eight-digit module codes.
The move to a new set of codes will not affect your studies. If you see a module code and are not sure which module this relates to, you can view the complete list of module codes at any time. You can search this list using either the existing code, new code or the title of a module.
If you have any questions, please contact your local Student Service Centre.
