Our voluntary interruption of study request process has been updated

Students may, for a variety of reasons, want to interrupt their studies. Voluntary interruption of study is one of the ways the university can support you through personal difficulty and can also be used in other time-limited circumstances. We’ve made some changes that you should be aware of.

International postgraduate taught students – visa requirements

In accordance with UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) regulations, there are several requirements that international postgraduate taught students on a student visa must complete over the summer.

The deadline for student finance applications relating to the current academic year is Saturday 31 May 2025. You can also now start applying for the next academic year as well.
