Students encouraged to get the Covid-19 vaccine

Thursday, 17 June 2021
All students are being encouraged to get their Covid-19 vaccination as soon as possible.

Anyone over 18 can book the vaccine from tomorrow and Nottingham and Nottinghamshire NHS are calling on all students to get vaccinated before leaving the City this summer.

The majority of students will be able to book using the NHS booking site, where different locations can be selected for doses 1 and 2 of the vaccine. Anyone can also call 119. Some sites may also offer walk-up appointments and details of this will be available online.

The university has a dedicated vaccine webpage, signposting to the booking system and answering FAQs as well as providing helpful information and guidance on the Covid-19 vaccine both in Nottingham and beyond.

The University’s Hopper Bus service to Kings Meadow Campus will be reinstated from Monday 21 June to provide students who remain in Nottingham easy and free access to vaccination sites.

The 902 service will run half hourly between University Park and KMC between 7.45am and 6.39pm. For students travelling from Sutton Bonington take the Hopper bus to UP and change for the KMC route.

Please maintain social distancing and wear a face-covering when attending your appointment.

Vaccination and testing are some of the most important defences against Covid-19. Encouraging everyone to get vaccinated is important in keeping our communities as safe as possible.
